EVENTS - Places I will be demonstrating and selling.


Starting in November 2009, my birds will be for sale at the North River-South Shore Audubon Shop, in Marshfield, MA.  They have a complete line of "Peeps and Tweets" as well as a few detailed carvings.

May 29-30 - North River Arts Society 34th Annual Festival of the Arts.  10AM-5PM.

August 20-29,2010 - The Marshfield Fair, Marshfield, MA. Visit the carving shed behind the grandstand and see what we are carving.  Usually there are up to seven carvers at work.

August 28, 2010 - The John LaForest Bird Carving Contest at the the Marshfield Fair.  For information and entry details contact me.

Sept.25, 2010 - Mass Audubon's Webster Farm Day at the Daniel Webster Wildlife Sanctuary at the end of Winslow Cemetery Road in Marshfield. 10-4.


CLASSES

Every Wednesday morning at the Marshfield Senior Center on Webster St., 9-12.  No charge and beginners are welcome. Learn the basics of carving of carving people, animals, and other interesting things from master carver Tom Hogan.  I will be there to help people who want to carve birds.

              

 

Every Tuesday morning at the Duxbury Senior Center. Same deal as above.


Bird Carving - Tuesday evenings this Fall, Mar.9-April 13,  for eight weeks at the North River Arts Society in Marshfield Hills. Bird Carving for Beginners. Carve a sanderling and a 1/3rd size loon. Cost -$65 for members, $85 for non-members.  Membership in the NRAS is $25. Click on North River Arts Society link.
